Story of a Special Child – A skit to raise awareness
Concept by Poornima Bhat, “The story of a Special child” is a skit which sheds light on having a child with disabilities and the difficulties as well as worries which are encountered when raising a special child.
Arivu Summer Camp

Schwimmen – Awareness about Swimming benefits

Arivu organises Schwimmen, a novel workshop on swimming, the first of it’s kind in Mangaluru on March 29, 2019, in collaboration with St. Aloysius College.

Art Therapy
Arivu organises a special art therapy program during the month of January, 2019. There were many talented children who showcased their unique talents under the guidance of our trained staff.
SANGAMA
Sangama, Arivu’s annual day program hosted jointly with St. Aloysius College on December 11, 2018. “Mile Sur Mera Tumhara” and various other fun dances and events were held by students of Arivu and students of MSW Department, St. Aloysius College.
Project ANKUR – Phase 1
To establish the necessary infrastructure, thereby enabling ARIVU Early Intervention Centre for Special Children, to create awareness among parents/teachers about various disabilities, assessment of the needy children, creation & maintenance of a data base of such children and providing early intervention services for special children in and around Mangaluru was funded under Karnataka Bank Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Scheme.
Inauguration of the new Sensory Integration Play Area created under this project was held on December 22nd, 2017 and Shri Ravindranath Hande H.P., DGM Corporate Planning, Karnataka Bank was the Chief Guest who performed the inauguration. While Dr. Radhakrishna Bhat and Ms. Poornima R. Bhat presented the details of the project and the usefulness of the facilities created, Dr. Shilpa Hegde MD, Assistant Professor, A J Hospital & Research Centre talked about normal child development milestones and why it is important to have assessment and diagnosis of disability at an early stage so as to provide early intervention that has greater chance of success. While Shri Ravindranath Hande emphasized the role of Karnataka Bank in Social development, Dr.K.S.Bhat, President, ARIVU TRUST® thanked Shri Mahabaleshwara M.S., MD & CEO, Karnataka Bank for readily supporting and providing the financial support and Shri Ravindranath Hande for performing the inauguration. Arivu Inaugural Function
Arivu had it’s grand inauguration on May 13, 2017 with Sr. Maria Jyothi A.C as the chief guest and Ms. Akhila Alva as the guest of honour.
