Special Education

Special education is specially designed instruction, support, and services provided to students with Autism, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation and other disabilities requiring an individually designed instructional program to meet their unique learning needs.

This aspect of  “delay,” broadly categorized as a developmental delay signify an aspect of the child’s overall development (physical, cognitive, scholastic skills) which place them behind their peers. Due to these special requirements, students’ needs cannot be met within the traditional classroom environment. Special Education programs and services adapt content, teaching methodology and delivery instruction to meet the appropriate needs of each child. It is also suitable for those students who are mentally, physically, socially and/or emotionally delayed.

At Arivu, trained teachers provide academic training to children with disabilities. … 3-6 year old children are trained so that they are able to participate and perform to their level best in the society. Our Programs help children with Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Speech delays, Down syndrome and other issues.

Many of our students have benefitted from early intervention Program and have been placed in normal school setting.  We work closely with schools and train teachers and shadow teachers so the child is able to perform its level best.

For older children with border-line disabilities who are not able to integrate into normal schooling nor fit into Special schools, tutoring will be provided so that they are able to learn the basic Mathematics, English and other subjects.
